News Release: Alberta Government Deaf to Citizen’s Logging Concerns

Action Alert: Save Castle Special Place. Castle Falls/Beaver Mines Lake Slated for Logging

On behalf of the Castle Special Place Working Group, the CCWC has published a new pamphlet and poster.  Thank you to Yellowstone to Yukon for believing in our concept and supplying the funds to make this possible.

Many people from the Castle Special Place working group were involved in the creation and development and we would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication. A big thanks to Dianne Pachal of Sierra Club Canada for her time spent on compiling the information and data entry, circulating it to the communications committee, making necessary changes, technical work on maps and coordination of proofing. We thank the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society for supplying us with the final maps for the project.  We would also like to thank Murray Coppold for all his hard work and volunteer time to format the information into a beautiful pamphlet. Chris and Will of Global Resource Efficiency; thank you for volunteering your time and the great job done creating the poster.

These materials are now available and will help to clear up some of the misinformation that has surrounded the efforts to have the Castle Special Place legislated as a Wildland Park. If you have some time to help distribute the pamphlets and posters in your area please contact Carolyn Aspeslet at 403-627-5059 email: office@ccwc.ab.ca or Dianne Pachal 403-234-7368, email: dpachal@telus.net.
