Dear Ms Ady and Mr Berger:
RE: Andy Russell - I'tai sah kòp Park

[Please personalize the letter by adding your own thoughts here. Be sure to note if you know the area or know Andy and Kay Russell and/or the Piikani First Nation. If you reside in Livingstone-Macleod, note that as well. Include some or all of the following suggested text as you see fit.]

In keeping with the government's "quality of life" priority of expanding and upgrading the Alberta's parks system to meet the growing population's needs for wild places, I encourage you to establish this long-overdue wildland park and provincial park.

A natural extension of the internationally renowned landscapes of the Waterton-Glacier Peace Park, the proposed park, encompassing the Castle River headwaters, is the only one of the 81 "Special Places" named by the Alberta Government during its Special Places 2000 program that has yet to be legislated as any type of park. We suggest making the park a tribute to Andy and Kay Russell and in recognition of the Piikani First Nation.

Despite many hundreds of letters of support from Albertans who live within the region and thousands of Canadians, the park has yet to be established.

The proposed park provides an astounding 30% of the recorded water flow for the entire Oldman Basin. Establishing the park to secure and protect this water supply would be a major step in meeting the government's Water for Life strategy.

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
